Call of Duty is preparing one of its biggest mid-season updates of the year with Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone Season 03 Reloaded. Activision published the official breakdown on April 23, 2026, confirming that the update launches on April 30 at 9 AM PT across all platforms. This is not a small balance patch. It is a full mid-season content drop covering Multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame, Warzone, weapons, events, and store content.
For Black Ops 7 Multiplayer, the update focuses heavily on speed and variety. One of the headline additions is Freerun, a mode built around racing against the clock. This gives players something different from standard team deathmatch or objective play. Instead of only testing aim and map control, Freerun emphasizes movement, route planning, and mechanical precision. For players who enjoy mastering movement systems, this could become one of the more replayable parts of the update.
The update also expands the map pool with new and returning maps. Activision's official information highlights the new Onsen map, the remastered Summit, the return of Hacienda, and Ascent, a parkour map designed specifically for Freerun. That combination is smart because it serves different types of players. Competitive-style players get familiar layouts, casual players get recognizable returning spaces, and movement-focused players get a dedicated challenge map.
Zombies fans are getting one of the most important parts of the update. Season 03 Reloaded introduces Totenreich, a new round-based Zombies map. The update also adds a new enemy called the Necropincer, a Wonder Weapon named Jotunn Star, a new Main Quest, fresh rewards, new challenges, and a Field Upgrade called Wild Fire. For a Zombies community that often judges seasons by the strength of round-based content, Totenreich is likely to be the main reason to return.
Endgame content is also being expanded. Activision confirmed that Endgame remains free to play for a limited time, allowing new and returning players to access the co-operative PvE mode. The update adds Act II: Operation Broken Mirror, new challenges, new rewards, and a Thermal Spike Major Ability that sets enemies aflame. This gives PvE-focused players a stronger progression hook beyond simply repeating runs.
Warzone is not being ignored either. Season 03 Reloaded adds new modes including Hot Pursuit, which brings high-speed chases across Avalon, and Prop Hunt Royale on Rebirth Island. Warzone also receives new equipment, including Cluster Grenades and Spikes. These additions could make vehicle movement, building fights, and late-game rotations more unpredictable. That is especially important in battle royale, where small equipment changes can reshape how squads approach positioning.
The update follows the larger Season 03 launch, which already added multiple Multiplayer maps, a new Survival and round-based Zombies map, Operations in Endgame, new weapons, modes, and the Launch Pad POI in Verdansk. Activision described Season 03 as a major content update across Black Ops 7 and Warzone, and Reloaded appears to continue that pace rather than slow it down.
For players, the update is especially strong because it does not focus on only one audience. Multiplayer players get maps and movement content. Zombies players get a new round-based map. Warzone players get new modes and equipment. PvE players get more Endgame content. That breadth makes Season 03 Reloaded one of the more important Call of Duty updates to watch this spring.
