Seekers Notes: Hidden Objects is a hidden object puzzle adventure game developed by Mytona. I have been playing it for a few months now, and it has become one of my go-to games on my phone. The game is available on android through the google play store, and you can also find it on the app store for iOS devices. It is a pure mobile game, so you will not find it on pc stores like steam or on consoles like xbox or switch. The game first launched back in 2015, and since then it has been downloaded millions of times. You can download it for free, install it, and start playing right away. There are in game purchases, like crystals and energy, but you can play without spending money if you are patient. The in app purchases range from a couple of dollars to around twenty dollars or more, depending on the pack. There are also ads, but they are mostly optional, like watching a video to get a small reward.
To play Seekers Notes: Hidden Objects, you basically search for hidden items in different scenes. Each scene has a list of objects you need to find, and you tap on them. You also have quests, a story about a cursed city called Darkwood, and you need to clear the fog and restore buildings. The best part of this game is the variety of scenes and the constant events. There is always something new, like a new hidden object location or a mini game. My favorite part is the story. It feels like you are actually solving a mystery, and the characters are interesting. You also get to decorate your own manor, which is a nice break from the hidden object scenes. The game is easy to pick up, but it can get challenging later on, which keeps me coming back.
Compared to similar games like June's Journey or Gardenscapes, Seekers Notes: Hidden Objects has a darker, more mysterious atmosphere. June's Journey is more about family drama, and Gardenscapes is more about rebuilding a garden. I recommend Seekers Notes because it has a strong story and lots of events. The hidden object scenes are well designed, and there are many different modes. If you like hidden object games with a bit of a spooky twist, this one is for you. I have tried other games in this genre, but I keep returning to this one because it feels more rewarding. The energy system can be annoying, but it is common in free mobile games. Overall, as a real player, I think it is worth a download if you enjoy finding hidden objects and following a good story.
features
- Massive variety of hidden object scenes 🎮 You get hundreds of scenes, and they change with events, so you never get bored.
- Engaging story and characters 📖 The cursed city of Darkwood has a mystery that unfolds slowly, and you meet many interesting characters along the way.
- Regular events and updates 🎉 Compared to June's Journey, Seekers Notes has more frequent events, which means there is always something new to do.
- Manor decoration and customization 🏠 You can decorate your own manor, which adds a nice creative break from the hidden object hunting.
- Free to play with optional purchases 💎 You can download and install for free, and while there are in app purchases, you can progress without spending if you are patient.
pros
- Atmospheric and immersive world 🌫️ The foggy, mysterious setting of Darkwood pulls you in, and it feels more unique than the bright worlds of Gardenscapes or June's Journey.
- Generous with rewards and energy 🎁 Compared to other hidden object games, I find that Seekers Notes gives you more free energy and rewards from events, so you can play longer sessions.
- Strong community and support 👥 The developers, Mytona, are active and listen to feedback, which is not always the case with other games in this genre.
- Varied gameplay modes 🧩 Besides hidden objects, you get mini games, puzzles, and quests, so it does not feel repetitive like some other games.
cons
- Energy system can slow you down ⏳ Like many free mobile games, you run out of energy and have to wait or pay, which can be frustrating when you are on a roll.
- In app purchases can be tempting 💸 The crystal packs are not cheap, and some events almost require spending if you want to rank high, which is similar to June's Journey.
- Occasional bugs and crashes 🐛 I have experienced a few crashes after updates, though they usually get fixed quickly. It is not as polished as Gardenscapes in that regard.
- Story can feel dragged out 📜 Sometimes the story progresses very slowly, and you have to grind through scenes to get to the next interesting part, which can test your patience.
