Recovery Pro - File Recovery is a utility app developed by Makes Your Life Easier, designed to help users recover deleted or lost files from their devices. It falls into the data recovery category, and people mainly use it to scan for and restore photos, videos, documents, and other files that have been accidentally deleted or lost due to system issues. You can find it on Google Play, and it's a free download with optional in-app purchases. The install count isn't something I can confirm, so I won't guess. A typical user might download it after a mishap, like deleting an important photo or losing files after a factory reset, hoping for a quick fix. After installing and launching, the first impression is pretty straightforward: a simple home screen with a scan button and a list of file types. No registration was required when I tried it, though ads are present and can feel a bit intrusive right away.

Once you open the app, the onboarding is minimal, which is good because you just want to get to recovery. The main action is tapping the scan button, then waiting while the app searches your storage. In my experience, the scan took a few minutes, and results showed up grouped by file type. You can preview recovered items before restoring them, which is handy. One confusing moment was figuring out where recovered files actually go after restoration; it wasn't obvious at first. A small tip: make sure you grant storage permissions right away, or the scan won't work properly. The steps are simple enough, but the ads between screens can slow you down. Overall, the flow is functional but not super polished.

After using it for a while, I'd say this app suits people who need a one-time recovery solution and don't want to pay upfront. It's less ideal for anyone expecting deep, reliable recovery from severe corruption, since results can be hit or miss. Compared to apps like DiskDigger, Recovery Pro feels simpler but also less powerful. What sets it apart is the free access to basic scanning, which is nice for casual users. I might keep it installed just in case, but if I needed serious recovery, I'd probably uninstall it and try something more robust. It's a fair tool for light use, nothing more.

• 🔍 Quick scan for common file types: The app scans your storage and groups results by photos, videos, and documents, so you can jump straight to what you need without digging through everything.
• 📱 Preview before restoring: You can check recovered items before saving them, which helps avoid restoring junk files and saves space on your device.
• 🆓 Free basic recovery: Unlike some competitors that lock scanning behind a paywall, this app lets you scan and recover a limited number of files for free, which is handy for small mistakes.
• 📂 Simple interface: The layout is basic and easy to navigate, making it approachable for users who aren't tech-savvy and just want a straightforward recovery tool.

• 👍 Free scanning: Compared to DiskDigger, which limits free scans, Recovery Pro lets you scan without paying, which is a big plus for casual users.
• 👍 Easy for beginners: The interface is simpler than EaseUS MobiSaver, so you don't need technical knowledge to get started.
• 👍 No registration: You can jump right in without creating an account, unlike some apps that require sign-up before scanning.

• 👎 Ads can be annoying: The free version shows ads that interrupt the flow, especially between scan and restore steps, which feels more intrusive than in DiskDigger.
• 👎 Limited recovery depth: It doesn't handle severely corrupted files as well as EaseUS MobiSaver, so success rates drop for complex cases.
• 👎 Unclear file destination: After restoring, it's not obvious where files are saved, which can confuse users compared to apps with clearer folder management.
