Goods Story: Sort Puzzle is a casual sorting puzzle game that falls into the same relaxed genre as other mobile time-killers, and it is built mainly for phones. You can grab it on Android through Google Play and on iOS via the App Store. As far as I can tell, it is a pure mobile title with no Steam or console version, so no Xbox or Switch port to worry about. It launched around 2022, and the install count is somewhere in the millions on Google Play alone, which says a lot for a game that does not shout about itself. The download is free, and you can install it without paying a cent. There are in-app purchases, mostly for removing ads or grabbing a bit of extra help, and they generally sit in the low single-digit dollar range. Ads are present but not punishing, and you can play a long stretch without feeling pushed to spend.

You play by tapping goods on shelves and moving them into matching slots until every shelf holds the same item. It sounds simple, and early on it is, but the layouts get tight and your moves run out fast if you rush. The best part for me is the pacing: a level takes a couple of minutes, so it fits perfectly into a commute or a coffee break. My favorite bit is the moment a messy board suddenly clicks into order, that little rush when the last item slides home. There is no timer pressure on most levels, so you can sit and think, and I honestly appreciate that more than I expected.

Compared with games like Sort It 3D or Goods Sort, this one feels less flashy and more forgiving. Those games pile on the chaos and the ads, while Goods Story: Sort Puzzle keeps the boards readable and the difficulty curve gentle. I recommend it because it respects your time. It is not trying to be a hardcore puzzler, and it does not pretend to be. If you have played similar sorting games and got tired of the constant pop-ups, this is a calmer option. It will not blow your mind, but it is a solid little app to keep installed for those dead minutes.

features

  • Clean, readable boards 🧩 — the goods and shelves are easy to tell apart at a glance, so you spend your time solving instead of squinting, which is more than I can say for Goods Sort on busy levels.
  • No harsh timers ⏳ — most levels let you think at your own pace, unlike Sort It 3D, which often nudges you to move fast and punishes hesitation.
  • Short, snackable levels 🍪 — each puzzle wraps up in a couple of minutes, making it easy to pick up and put down without losing progress.
  • Light ad pressure 📺 — ads show up, but they do not interrupt every single move, which keeps the flow intact compared with some free sorting apps.

pros

  • Relaxing difficulty curve 😌 — the game eases you in and ramps up slowly, so it never feels like a wall, which is where Sort It 3D sometimes loses me.
  • Readable visuals 👀 — clear colors and distinct item shapes mean fewer mistakes caused by bad design, a problem I ran into with Goods Sort.
  • Respects your time 🕒 — short levels and no forced waiting make it a great filler app, and the free download means there is no risk in trying it.

cons

  • Gets repetitive 🔁 — after a few dozen levels the sorting loop starts to feel samey, and Goods Sort at least throws in more visual variety.
  • Ads still creep in 📢 — they are lighter than in Sort It 3D, but they are there, and removing them costs money.
  • Limited long-term depth 📉 — there is not much to chase beyond clearing levels, so players who want progression systems may drift back to other sorting games.
