Horoscopes by Horoscope TV is basically a daily astrology app that lands somewhere between a fun distraction and a more serious daily guide. You download it to get your horoscope fix, check what the stars say about love and work, and maybe peek at the compatibility scores with your partner or crush. After installing it from the App Store or Google Play, the first impression is bright and colorful, with a clean layout that doesn't feel overwhelming. You pick your zodiac sign right away, and the app immediately throws a daily reading at you without forcing you to create an account first, which is a relief. There are in-app purchases for more detailed reports and extras, but the daily horoscopes stay free, so you can test the water before spending anything.

Actually using the app, the interface is surprisingly smooth for something that looks a bit flashy. You get a main feed with your daily horoscope, plus tabs for weekly and monthly predictions. Swiping between your sign and others is easy, so I found myself checking my friends' signs out of curiosity. The onboarding is quick — pick your sign, maybe your rising or moon sign if you know it, and you're in. One small thing I noticed is that the subscription upsell pops up every few days, which gets a bit annoying, but skipping it is simple. For daily use, you glance at the reading in the morning, then maybe check back later for the love section. It's not life-changing, but it's a nice little ritual if you're into that sort of thing.

After using it for a couple of weeks, I think Horoscopes by Horoscope TV is best for casual astrology fans who want a quick, pretty horoscope without deep chart analysis. It's not for people who want hardcore astrological data like transits or progressed moon calculations — that stuff is missing. Compared to something like Co–Star or The Pattern, this app feels lighter and less intense, more like flipping through a magazine than reading a textbook. The daily readings are positive and generic enough to keep you coming back, but you might uninstall it if you prefer apps that give you personalized insights based on your exact birth time. I kept it installed because the design is nice and it's low-commitment, but I can see why someone serious about astrology would move on to something deeper.

features

  • 🌟 The daily, weekly, and monthly horoscopes update consistently and are free to read, so you never hit a paywall just to see what's coming. Many apps like Astrology Zone hide full readings behind subscriptions.
  • 🌟 The zodiac compatibility section is detailed but not overwhelming — it shows romantic, friendship, and career match scores, which is more practical than the vague compatibility blurbs in The Daily Horoscope app.
  • 🌟 The interface uses a card-based design that feels modern and responsive, making it easy to swipe between signs and timeframes. In contrast, Horoscope.com's app has a clunkier layout with too many ads.

pros

  • 👍 The app feels fast and lightweight — it loads readings in under two seconds, which is better than similar apps like TimePassages, where you often wait for chart calculations.
  • 👍 The daily quotes and affirmations tucked into each reading add a bit of motivational value, something that Co–Star doesn't offer at all.
  • 👍 Push notifications for the daily horoscope are timely and not spammy — you get one per day, unlike The Pattern which sometimes sends three or four.

cons

  • 👎 The in-app purchases for detailed reports feel overpriced compared to AstroFuture, which offers similar PDF reports at half the cost.
  • 👎 There is no natal chart calculation support, so users who want to input their exact birth time or rising sign are out of luck, while apps like TimeNomad give you full chart control for free.
  • 👎 The love compatibility section is entirely based on sun signs only, which feels shallow when compared to The Pattern's detailed synastry analysis.
